Just as fun, and I truly believe it is fun and funny, are sign bloopers made by hearing people learning sign. My favorite is an (unnamed friend/relative) who in his/her sign language class got up in front of class and in trying to sign car ended up signing ASL masturbate. The teacher was totally embarrassed - the class died laughing.

Oh, with my terrible sign skills, I'm sure I've managed to give someone a fit of giggles along the way.

I have only known deaf people, that I am aware of, for about the last year or two.

I am absolutely amazed that anyone can learn to voice, without hearing themselves.

I'm having trouble with signing - and I can see myself....:)

Here's a variation on the sh-- sound. I was about 3 years old, addressing my dog, and in a commanding voice I ordered him to sit.

"Shit, doggy, Shit!"

My mom loves to tell this story to my friends when she meets them. :)
